Pour, soak, play
The powder is a polymer crystal. Tip it into the mould, soak the mould in water, and the grains swell and bond into a solid rubbery ball. Pop the mould open and it bounces. The whole thing is genuinely a chemical reaction a child can watch happen.
- Pour. Tip a sachet of bouncy powder into the mould.
- Soak. Sit the filled mould in water. The perforations let it in; the crystals swell and fuse.
- Play. Open the two halves, turn out the ball, and bounce it.
