A lid that swings, not lifts

The thick wooden lid pivots sideways rather than coming off, so you can push it open with a thumb while the other hand holds the pan.

A magnet keeps it closed when you're done, and the salt stays covered between pinches.

A spoon that lives inside

Each cellar comes with a small wooden spoon. There is a slot in the rim so the spoon can rest inside with the lid closed.

The spoon is small on purpose, so you add a little at a time.

One salt or two

The single style is one open well, about 9cm across and 7cm high. The double has a wooden divider, so pepper and salt, or two different salts, can share one cellar.

Both have a wide mouth that is easy to fill and easy to wipe out.
