Two speeds and an off switch
A switch on the front runs it at about 4 turns a minute on low or about 8 on high. Slide it to the middle and it stops.
A mirror top that doubles the view
The 18cm top is a mirror, so whatever sits on it shows its underside as it turns: the back of a watch case, the setting of a ring, the base of a figurine.
No cord, no plug
It runs on two C batteries, which aren't included, so it can sit anywhere: a shelf, a shop counter, the middle of a dining table.
