Skull on top, chains all round
The lid is moulded as old timber planks held with metal bands and rivets. A skull sits on top, chains loop across the front and back, and a skull and crossbones marks each end.
The finish is aged and worn, so it reads as an old chest rather than a toy.
Lift the lid, drop in the small things
The lid lifts off to show a plain black interior, about the right size for rings, a watch, cufflinks, earrings or the spare keys.
At 12 x 7 x 8.5cm it suits a bedside table, a desk or a bookshelf.
